Day 7 of our trip

After staying in Oslo for 3days, we went on a train. Before the train started we went to go get some fast food. When we got on my rolling suitcase broke its handle from the tape (my suitcase had broken its handle before) there were a couple of friendly seniors who fixed my suitcase. We went to the entrance of a tunnel and we waited forever for the other train to pass then a very fast train came out and we started rolling. (you know what this means) We went in and it took 15 minutes until there was a station and we only saw daylight in short periods of time. Then it was the end of the tunnel and we arrived at the station .Then we chased the train to the end of the station then we watched the train leave... ...BACK INTO THE TUNNEL!!!!???? so I was wrong in the last sentence it wasn't the end so then we went on another train and we saw all sorts of beautiful falls. We stopped for pictures at a wooden platform. There was a waterfall up close. Just about when we were bored of taking pictures and we were ready to get back on the train and wait for the train to start rolling we saw a beautiful singer come up from behind some rocks. She sang into a microphone. So we stayed there for quite awhile. Then about 3 minutes before the train left the wooden platform we got back on and went through more beautiful waterfalls. We got off the train and waited for the ferry boat. On the way Dad and I went to a mini mall. On the way back to the ferry landing we saw that the ferry was there so we climbed on board. It was a long ferry boat. Luckily my Dad had bought snacks at the mini mall. He brought some bananas, apples and raisins. There were a ton of seagulls so we threw some food to them. When we got there, we got on a bus. We went up the hill very smoothly until we saw an old narrow trail. The tunnel was short enough for a car, but not for a bus so we went slowly up the old narrow trail. We went very slowly until we got to the top and back on the highway. When we got off the bus we had some dinner at a restaurant near the train station. We had some yummy fries then we tried some ketchup and it was horrible. So then we got on another train that took us to our hostel which we thought would be a hostel. Some of the people working there gave us their room. So we got settled in and slept nicely.

Day 6 of our trip

Today we went to a World War 2 museum. It was fun they had models of parts of world war two. They also had a gazillion guns all in one room! There was dulled barbed wire. It was the resistance museum. Then we went to a castle with a ton of big rooms. It used to be the royal castle and its where the kings of Norway are buried. We watched the changing of the guards. Then we went to a military museum with a real torpedo and more models. There was a wall which was the border between Germany and another country, the other country side had graffiti and McDonald's fries box, Germany's side had barbed wire we had a great time.

Day 5 of our trip

Today we went to three museums about boats: the Kon-tiki, Polar Ship Fram, and the Norwegian Maritime Museum. They were very fun. Andrew had daddy go under one of those air-vents and then Andrew dropped a stuffed animal down there and daddy caught it then daddy threw it up from the bottom on the deck.

It was very fun. We had lunch at burger king. There were super small chicken nuggets. Want to know how expensive Norway is? $1.50 per nugget! Then it rained so hard while we were going to a ski jump. We went to lots of stairs. No one was there so we had to find all the stairs and elevators ourselves. It was so cloudy we couldn't see the ground below us. There was a gift shop where they sold Viking hats. It was still raining hard and we had to wait for the tram half a hour! We had to wait in the rain.

day 4 of our trip

We went and saw the changing of the guards at a museum were there were crowns of old Swedish kings (no wonder there were guards). Then we got on a train and I met a boy named nic..nicu??? OK but I do know that a good nickname for him would be nicke. So we made friends and had a lot of fun. He likes Nintendo. Hey! Did you know that there are zombies in zelda? I mean besides the fairies bringing you back to life and stuff, you know what I mean? Well anyways we had a lot of fun. He got off the train before I did so I got pretty bored the rest of the trip. When we got off the train at the end of the line (we usually do except on subways) we went to stay in a nice house with bedrooms for guests. We had a lot of fun playing with the kids there.

day 3 of our trip

We stopped in Stockholm, Sweden. We got on a little ferry and it always reminded me of a Russian bus exept a lot less crowded that's for sure. Today we went to the zoo. It was fun and we saw lots of animals including foxes, Black Bears, wolverines, House cats!, Guinea pigs, and goats. The goats were very cute and they were in the petting zoo. We went to a lot of museums and we went to a museum that gave me the chills. It was about the ship called the Wasa. It had the skeletons of the drowned sailors. It was really spooky. Then we went back to our hotel. On the way there were some weird machines. Daddy said one of them he really hated because he said that it reminded him of some sort of butt picking-machine. Then we arived at the hotel and went to bed.

day 2 of our trip

We step out of the train into familiar Helsinki (familiar of course becouse we went on a visa trip here about a year ago). I had to push Katie (my 4 year-old sister who rode in the stroller most of the way). Well I was sure suprised when my dad said we were not going ever in a building we went on a little ferry boat to an island that had all these cool cannons and stuff.
On the way back we saw these two huge cruise ships. I said it sure would be cool if we went on that red one and you know what? We did! There were lots of things to do onboard. We looked at the sea, we ate at all you-can-eat-restaurants until our stomachs exploded, we read Calvin and Hobbes until we died of laughter. It was such a good day!

We were watching TV then daddy said it was time to go, so we went where Nick (our driver) was waiting for us. Then we drove to the train station, where luckily Victor was waiting for me. We got on the train with Victor taking pictures. Then we got off the train and took some more pictures then our family went in the train with me we looked out the window at our friends, then the train started to move. Victor was chasing the train to the end of the platform. as soon as the train was on the rails me and Andrew burst into tears and we were not going see him for a long long time.

the most abnormal day ever

This is the most weirdest day ever. I got to 2 hits in baseball (when before I barely
hit fowls before!) and scored on one of them. (The other one, I was thrown out at first.) we beat the red sox 20-03! I fell and almost knocked my kneecap off in the snack tent after the game. On the bottom of it was asphalt. Our team won first prize in baseball. After the game, Andrew's stitches were yanked out with pliers by Dr. Brink. When we came back to our house, it was completely empty. Outside it was unbelievably cold. That's one weird day all right!

my brother's scar!

Yesterday we went to Joel's bike party. It was chilly so my dad sent me in to get him a sweatshirt. He said he was going to the Beyars. I expected him to come back. It took me about 10 min. to get into the apartment, open the door with the keys, (finally) get a sweatshirt and dress myself then lock the door get the keys out (finally), go down stairs and see my mom already in the car with my siblings. I said I thought he was out here. My mom called Lori Beyar she called Keith Beyar he said he took his bike (to borrow) and left. We looked for my Daddy, up and down the street. My mom called the Beyars again and found out he was on his way to the party. so we went to the forest and we waited for him and he came. Then we went and played capture the flag and Henry cheated about 1,000,000 times. We went home and our party favor was a water gun. We went into the tub with the jets and shower and water on! Andrew wanted to turn the jets off. He climbed on the edges of the tub to turn the jets off. On the way back he slipped off and cut himself on a candle holder. I just saw a glimpse of him so I thought his eyeball fell out. He was rushed to s.o.s. and had 4 stitches!

my grandma arrives!

My Grandma Dee arrived the 21st of May, 2008. When we were putting our jackets on to go to my sister's last day of ballet, we noticed that her bag with the ticket in it was lost! And if you think "oh, sure just explain to the guards that you lost the ticket," well, Russian guards are very strict! So we couldn't see her ballet class, so we went to a Ukrainian restaurant (Taras Bulba).
Today we went to Detzki Mir (childrens world) and looked through $50-$120 sport jackets (and they were all too. small!) Finally we found a beautiful jacket , dress shirt and tie which Grandma bought for my birthday. Then we went to Moo-Moo, a restaurant with all sorts of Russian food, and now I'm asking my mom whats for dinner (it's pizza).

The Beyars

These are our friends the Beyars. I have known them a long time. They live across the street from us. Emma is my age. Last Saturday we went to Victory Park with them. We rolled down a grassy hill a lot and flew kites and ate hot dogs to celebrate Victory Day. We go to every single one of their birthday parties and they come to every single one of ours. We have known them for five years. We went to a conference together in Hungary. Before the conference we all went skiing in Slovakia. Emma and Joel are great skiers. I'm good, too, but not as good as them. They are great friends and I hope to see them in America sometime. ---by Christopher

My Friend Victor

This is my friend Victor. Victor is one of my best friends. He is from South Africa. He is nine years old. He lives in my old apartment. I like him because he is nice. I've known him for a long time. I don't even remember when I met him. We usually talk together whenever we meet at school. He goes to Hinkson Christian Academy which is where I go for PE and Art. We also see each other at Awana and Cub Scouts. He likes chess and Club Penguin and so do I. He is a good friend.

This Morning

This morning I awoke with my brother and sister squabbling. I sighed. Andrew (6) and Katie (4) are so noisy so I waited for them to finish their breakfast, get dressed, get their jackets on, get out of the apartment and eventually go down the elevator, get outside the building, and drive to school, biting and kicking. Then I got out of my room and started writing my blog, while I listened to Follow Me Now by Alvin and the Chipmunks. Then I ate my breakfast which I forgot to eat earlier. I looked at my 3rd pickle building which I copied from the one in London, England! (here's a view of it from the Tower of London) Mine is 5 ft. tall! I am a great creator and everyone says so. When I was 5 I built a Lego Schooner!------by Christopher
